Testimonials

Our adult son, Kevin, began attending the Montessori Pathways program in 1987 at age 3. Kevin was reluctant to go to school at first, and had no qualms about letting us know his preference to stay at home. The Pathways program led by Barbara Bennink offered Kevin the nurturing and support he needed to step out into the bigger world away from home and to become a confident, independent, caring member of his school community. As professional educators for more than 35 years, my husband and I have often reflected upon Barbara’s example of what it takes to make a child succesful in school, and we will be forever grateful to her for the gift she gave Kevin and our family during those important, formative years.”

“Our sons, Chris and Matt, are both thriving adults in their mid-to-late twenties now–and still the lifelong love for learning that they acquired under Mary Ann Parker’s guidance so many years ago continues to shine brightly. As students in Mary Ann’s class at the Garden Home Campus, they discovered how to seek out new things with a sense of confidence and independence that has served them well throughout their academic years and beyond. Mary Ann and her able assistants helped our sons tap into their talents, recognize their potential and, perhaps most importantly, introduced them to a world in which children of diverse gifts and challenges worked together as side-by-side learners and friends. Our heartfelt thanks to Mary Ann and the Montessori Pathways program.”

More than guides or teachers, the staff at Montessori Pathways have been partners in parenting…consistently ready to provide a new perspective into our child’s development and the support parents of young children need.”
