Program
We would like to introduce you to a very special school: Montessori Pathways.
The West Hills Montessori Pathways program is designed to provide worthwhile services and successful experiences for handicapped and non-handicapped children within a quality Montessori environment. The three-hour morning class affords the opportunity for each individual student to establish friendships, build self-confidence and become more independent as his/her learning skills are developed. The school is dedicated to education according to Dr. Maria Montessori, the physician-educator, who spent much of her life developing an educational method to meet the needs of young learners. Each student is respected and encouraged as an individual with unique capabilities and interests.
Montessori Pathways classes are held in the Garden Home Recreation Center and at the West Hills Christian Church in the Multnomah area. All classes are staffed by Montessori certified teachers. Experienced classroom assistants support the teachers. The warm and caring atmosphere created by the classroom staff provides a positive learning experience of critical significance in the child’s early years.
