Auction

Our 10th Annual Auction will be held on April 28th, 2012 in Northwest Portland

Each year the West Hills Montessori & Montessori Pathways communities have joined together to make this event spectacular.  In the past children have prepared classroom projects for sale at the auction; parents have planned, hosted & attended the auction.  To receive more information on our event, to make a donation, or to be added to our email update list – please send an email to  pathwaysauction@live.com.

Tickets go on sale March 1st.  Join us for a fantastic event supporting our children!

All families who attend Montessori Pathways are asked to contribute in some way toward this annual event. Parents are encouraged to join the committee if possible; however, there are many other opportunities to volunteer. These related activities take place throughout our local community (e.g. procuring contributions), within the Montessori Pathways community (e.g. coordinating the raffle), in the classroom (children’s projects), and helping at the auction itself (e.g. setting up, helping during the event, and clean up).

Please join us for our next planning meeting:

Wednesday, February 15th, at the Multnomah Campus

Meet the auctioneer and hear the planned agenda for auction night.  Sample the menu from our caterer.  And have a light buffet dinner prepared by the campus coordinators.

We’ll meet in the big room at the Multnomah Campus located at 3824 Troy Street, Portland.

Email Jessica at pathwaysauction@live.com for directions or with questions.

We will be updating our planning progress, discussing donations received and needed, meeting with our auctioneer (the fabulous Graham Crow!) to lay out the ‘run of show’ for auction night and sampling the proposed menu from the caterer.  The caterer’s tasting will occur in the first half hour of the meeting – YUM!

Whether or not you are able to attend planning meetings, there are still many ways to participate:

Procure Donations - A great auction is made up of a wide variety of donations- from a weekend at your beach house, to a gift card at a neighborhood restaurant or an interesting collectible.  Donation forms are available at every campus or you can request via email to pathwaysauction@live.com.

Procure Desserts - One fun feature of our auction night is the Dessert Dash, coordinated by Martina Phillips.  We need 25 desserts for eight donated for action night.  Have a favorite bake shop or cafe?  Ask them if they will donate; we will make sure that they receive recognition in our catalog and proudly display their delicacy.  Email Martina at phillipsmartina@gmail.com if you need more information or have a dessert to donate.

Donate Wine - We need many donations of wine (red & white) valued at $20 or more.  They will be used to fill the Wall of Wine at the auction.

Volunteer at the Auction - It takes a good handful of fun-loving volunteers to keep auction night running smoothly.  A big thank you to those that have already volunteered!  If you’re interested in learning more, contact Jessica at pathwaysauction@live.com.

Play Poker! For the third consecutive year we are able to offer an evening poker party in the home of Montessori Pathways parents Alyson & Damon Grant.  With several fun prizes and a buy in of $40 that goes straight to the auction proceeds – why not play a hand!

Attend the Auction - Save the date for April 28th at 5:30 pm in Northwest Portland.  Tickets go on sale March 1st.  Join us for a great evening for a great cause!

We need baskets! Any shape or size — for packaging auction items.

Wine, baskets and any other donations can be dropped off at the office of each campus.

Donations that have already been pledged are being posted onto our website.  You can start reviewing the catalog at

Please direct questions or concerns to pathwaysauction@live.com and watch for more information and volunteer opportunities throughout the months ahead!
